Mariah has had a strong passion for animals ever since she could remember, and a love for dogs that is incomparable! As a homeschooled student, Mariah was able to begin working as a veterinary assistant at 14 years of age, and completed a total of 10 years working in the Terre Haute area as a veterinary assistant. So the health and wellbeing of every dog in her care is top priority. Mariah found her passion for dog training and behavior after completing shows with her dog in 4H. That passion grew after becoming a member and K9 Handler for the local Search and Rescue Team 12 years ago. Mariah has an Associates Degree in Criminal Justice, but couldn't see herself doing anything other than working with dogs. After becoming an AKC Evaluator, she decided to open a training facility that provides students with the best possible services, training, and behavioral help. She believes that owners and their dogs need to work as a team to achieve their goals, and that training should always be fun and positive!
Mariah lives with her husband, son, and their furry kids in the country in Parke County. She enjoys taking care of, and spending time with her dogs and a wide variety of farm animals.
Millie has had a strong passion for dogs ever since she was a little girl. Millie's love for training dogs began when she was showing her dog in 4H. She then went on to work at local veterinary clinics as a receptionist for a total of 14 years. There she enjoyed working with a wide variety of dogs and educating their owners on proper care. Millie has a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and works full time at Valley Professionals. She missed working with dogs and their owners, so she went on to become an AKC Evaluator and begin training dogs with her daughter, Mariah. Millie loves teaching owners how to communicate with their dogs and teaching them how to work as a team!
Millie enjoys spending time with her four daughters and grandchildren. She also loves working with her dogs and walking them to the covered bridge that's over her property, to play in the creek.
Maze was born December, 13 2019 in North Terre Haute on Spring Creek Australian Shepherd’s farm. They had two litters at the time and we knew we wanted a pup from this set of breeding due to the temperament and genetics of the parents. We were so thankful to have “pick of the litter“ so when the puppies turned 7 weeks of age, we went out to administer the Puppy Aptitude Test on all 21 pups to see which one would best fit our needs. Traits we were looking for included high drive, friendly, social, independent thinker, and pleaser. Our goal for the pup we would choose included becoming a certified search and rescue k9, therapy dog, demonstration dog, and all around good family dog. This is how we chose Maze! She tested with a score of exactly what we wanted/needed! She is such a fun loving, sweet, and highly intelligent girl that makes us smile daily and we love her so much!
Maze‘s favorite treat reward is string cheese. Her favorite toy reward is her tug. She loves completing mental stimulation puzzle games and playing with her best friends Echo and Ziva!
